A coordination meeting of partners of the Erasmus+ project «GameHub: University-enterprises cooperation in game industry in Ukraine» Number 561728-EPP-1-2015-1-ES -EPPKA2-CBHE-JP was held in AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland from 16 to 19 May 2016.
The Ukrainian partners of GameHub project consortium are: National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, Odessa National Polytechnic University, Precarpatian National University and Donetsk National Technical University.
The European partners of GameHub project consortium are: University of Deusto and Foundation of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain), AGH University of Science and Technology (Krakow, Poland), FH Joanneum University (Graz, Austria), Virtualware Labs (Bilbao, Spain), Quality Austria (Vien, Austria).
Reports on innovative approaches to generating business ideas and training of invited teams for creativity using «Design Thinking» techniques, which are best known among succesful corporations in the world that using it to create innovative solutions and its implementation, was envisaged in program of coordination meetings.
In addition, the meeting provided for visits to Business Incubator (AGH-UST Academic Incubator of Entrepreneurship) – university department, which specializes in creating conditions for the effective operation of innovative companies that implementing the original scientific and technical projects, by providing for these companies material, information, consulting and other services and resources.
We were pleasantly surprised with our Polish partners’ sincere desire to convey the best business experience in the field of computer games and interactive entertainment that help universities to bring Ukraine to a higher level of development through the support and willingness to cooperate.
During the coordination meeting we was impressed by a visit to Krakow Technology Park “Małopolska Information Technology Park” (MITP).
MITP Representatives hold an interesting tour, where Ukrainian partners were especially able to see the functioning of industrial parks in Poland as it can independently create and implement development strategies, maximize the use of its potential to attract investors.
We have seen how we can build our game brand and how we can become popular for investors, even while we have a little potential, but using it properly.
Also Ukrainian partners was introduced with MITP innovations in the field of computer games and interactive entertainment.
